Over 250 members of the Rise team came together at Bailey Brewing Co. in the Swan Valley last week to celebrate our achievements across 2022. With perfect weather, incredible food and great entertainment - it could not have been a better day.
During the event we announced our
Rise Anna Alderson Award winners.
Started in 2016, the awards honour the memory of former Board Chair and Director Dr. Anna Alderson and the example she set in demonstrating Rise’s values – integrity, respect, welcoming and optimism
This year, we recognise and congratulate two teams and two individuals:
Parkerville fire first responders: Scott, Harrison and Glenn’s quick actions when a potentially devastating bushfire threatened Rise’s largest Supported Accommodation home may very well have saved the lives of the ten residents that were relaxing at home that afternoon.
Disability Management Team: Anne and Vanessa have created a culture where their team feel they belong, are listened to, acknowledged and, most of all, feel valued.
Heather Manson: Working for Rise for over 16 years, Heather makes a real difference to people’s lives in our community by encouraging and supporting them to do thing for themselves and live independent lives.
Scott Wilson: During the 10 months Scott has worked for Rise as a Domestic Assistance Specific Support Worker, he has received five compliments from five different clients. His amazing work ethic and caring nature is clearly making a difference to so many.

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend for helping make the event so special. We cannot wait to see what 2023 brings!
