Anyone aged between 12-17 years or who is attending high school can come to our drop-ins and school holiday activities. Places are limited for excursions, so be sure to let us know if you’re planning to come along.
Drop-ins and most activities are FREE, however there may be cost for some school holiday excursions. Where possible we seek ways to cover these costs so people can attend.
You don’t need to! Anyone aged 12-17 can come and check out the centre from 4-6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We do need a signed permission slip if you want to come to our school holiday excursions, so make sure you ask one of our friendly Youth Workers or email
YouthReferrals@risenetwork.com.au if you have any questions.
People come to the Youth Centre for many different reasons. Some people come to hang out with their friends in an adult-free space, others come to chat to the Youth Workers about things that are happening in their life. Ohers come to take part in activities and excursions, learn new skills, and simply have some fun after school.
If there’s something going on in your world, our Youth Workers are always willing to listen and provide support. They can also provide general information about a range of topics and services available to young people in your community. If you need specialist help with anything related to health, mental health, the law, housing, drug and alcohol use or anything else we are always willing to make referrals and support you.
We can also arrange a one-to-one catch up with you during the week if you need help with anything - just ask one of our Youth Workers or email
YouthReferrals@risenetwork.com.au
One-to-one conversations that you have with our Youth Workers are confidential, so we will not tell anyone what you tell us without your permission. However, we may need to tell someone what you tell us if we’re worried that you or some else are at risk of harm. We will do our best to keep you informed if we need to do this.
