Respite care can be provided in your home or for the older person at our beautiful country cottage in the Perth Hills – Milperra. Guests love the relaxing environment which allows the flexibility to choose activities to suit their routine and needs.

Guests enjoy the following:

  • Home cooked meals to suit their tastes.
  • 24-hour support, 7 days a week.
  • Qualified staff experienced in assisting people who are ageing and/or living with dementia.
  • Private room with access to a shared dining and lounge areas.
  • Outings in the local community.
  • Flexibility to stay for between 3 to 14 nights (may be extended in some circumstances)

Eligibility: Milperra Cottage is designed to cater for older people living in Perth’s East Metro area. If you live outside this area, please contact us to see if you are eligible.

Springtime Luncheon

Spring, a season of colour, flowers and warmth… just like Milperra at our Springtime Luncheon. Support worker Kristi did a fantastic job creating the perfect lunch time gathering. Flowers were collected to grace the table and guests had so much fun celebrating the season. After such a feast, what could be better than a laid-back beautiful afternoon listening to Vivaldi - La Primavera (of course!)

 

 

Once Upon a Time in the West

Jim, one of our guests at the cottage, just loves old Western movies. So, as a surprise, the Old West came to Milperra and clients and staff enjoyed a fun Western themed day. The dining room was transformed into a Wild West Saloon Bar and everyone dressed in their best cowboy gear. After a session of line dancing, photo opportunities were a must with hats, moustaches and bandanas.
