Aruna & Jessica

Aruna enjoyed her role as a physiotherapist but found her passion supporting people with disability. Aruna has been working at Rise for 5 years. “I believe I can make a profound impact on the people I support by helping them be more independent and confident in their own abilities. When the people I support reach their goals it brings me more joy and motivates me to work more. Every day is a chance to do something different and make a difference.”
Aruna loves cooking. “Cooking and sharing food is a kind way of showing love to other people.”

Jessica has also worked for 5 years at Rise and is passionate about supporting people to live their best life with choice and control. In her spare time Jessica enjoys handcrafts, knitting, cooking and gardening.

Sharing with

Pete enjoys keeping fit and attends the gym twice a week. He also works at his local Woolworths grocery store every week. “I've been there a long time,” says Pete, “I like helping the customers."
When Pete’s not working or training he’ll jump on the bus to catch up with his girlfriend, Sam, in Hamilton Hill.

Stefano loves music, especially listening to Elvis Presley. He’s a also a pretty good dancer. Stefano loves getting out into his local community and is a keen supporter of the West Coast Eagles.
