Rise and several other non-profit organisations have committed to increasing the number of people with disability employed within their respective organisations. As part of this process, we have formed a co-design steering committee to roll out the project. The committee’s chair and deputy chair are both people with a disability. Tony Vardaro, interviewed here, is another valued member of the steering committee with huge experience in education and employment, including a career at TAFE. Here he explains why he is passionate about the goals of the project and what he feels he can bring to it.
